| In most cases, as soon as applications are received and registered by NWDC, copies are sent to Parish and Town Councils for consultation. These Councils discuss and send their observations and comments back to NWDC. Parish and Town Councils do NOT decide planning applications. |
The Planning Committee makes decisions in relation to planning applications, enforcement notices and tree preservation orders. Not all planning proposals are referred to the Committee for decision. Many are determined by Council Officers under delegated powers |
